DeSantis Reappoints Four Members to Florida's Board of Pharmacy, Pending Senate Confirmation
Leigh Mathes, Cristina Medina, Darrell Miller and Dorinda Segovia return to the board that licenses and regulates Florida pharmacists, the Governor's Office announced Friday — each appointment still needs Florida Senate confirmation.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has reappointed four members to Florida's Board of Pharmacy, the Governor's Office announced, returning a group that spans community pharmacy, health-system leadership and consulting practice to the board that oversees the state's pharmacists.
The four are Leigh Mathes, director of operations for Coastal Med of Florida, who holds bachelor's and doctorate degrees in pharmacy from Purdue University; Cristina Medina, a CVS Health pharmacist and a member of the Palm Beach Atlantic University College of Pharmacy dean's advisory board; Darrell Miller, a consultant pharmacist for DSM Consultants who previously served as chief pharmacy officer for Community Health Northwest Florida; and Dorinda Segovia, vice president and chief pharmacy officer for Memorial Healthcare System, the Governor's Office release said.
None of the four takes the seat on the governor's word alone. Each appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate, the release said — the standard final step for Florida board appointments of this kind.
