A $110 Bus Pass Covers a Semester of Rides for Hillsborough College Students, the College Paper Reports
HART's semester pass for Hillsborough College students costs $110 for four months of unlimited rides - $150 less than hitting the regular monthly fare cap each month - and is sold for the fall and spring semesters at HART customer service centers, The Hawkeye reported.

For a Hillsborough College student without a car, the semester's transportation can cost less than a single week of ride-hailing. HART's semester pass for the college offers unlimited bus rides for four months for $110, The Hawkeye, the college's student newspaper, reported on October 30.
The arithmetic is the story: the pass saves students $150 compared with reaching HART's regular monthly fare cap in each of the four months, the paper reported. It is sold only for the fall and spring semesters - not summer - at HART customer service centers. One student, Angelina Wade, told the paper she used to spend $120 a week on Uber rides, more than the entire semester pass costs.
The paper's advice to student riders is practical: check return schedules, especially after evening classes or work. Routes, schedules and pass information are at goHART.org, the transit agency's site.
