Hillsborough Elections Office Readies 232 Election Day Sites and More Than 2,000 Poll Workers as Early Voting Ends Sunday
Clerks are picking up supplies and more than 2,000 trained poll workers are ready for Tuesday, the Supervisor of Elections' office says — and unlike early voting, Election Day voters must use their assigned precinct.

While Tampa Bay casts its last early ballots on Sunday, Hillsborough County's Election Day operation is already moving. The county's 232 polling sites are getting ready for Tuesday's midterm election, with clerks picking up the supplies their sites will need and more than 2,000 poll workers through training and ready to assist voters, Tampa Bay 28 reported from the Supervisor of Elections' office.
The rule that changes on Tuesday is the one early voters did not have to follow: on Election Day, Hillsborough voters must vote at their designated precinct location, not at any polling site in the county. Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer urged voters to make a plan now and to review the sample ballot his office sent — the ballot carries six amendments, and an unprepared voter can spend a long time in the privacy booth working through them, he said, as reported by Tampa Bay 28.
The last chance to vote at any of the county's 27 early voting sites is Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. After that, in-person voting waits until Tuesday, when polls run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and voters heading to their precinct need a valid form of ID, the elections office says.
