Tampa Cools to 74.2 Degrees in Afternoon Showers, and Sunday's Rain Chance Eases to 57 Percent (Tampa Watch News)

Tampa's Sunday turned wet at mid-afternoon. The station's live weather feed put the temperature at 74.2 degrees, feeling like 77.5, under a showers code - down from the 77.9 degrees the midday file carried, as rain moved across the bay during the Buccaneers' home game and the afternoon's outdoor plans.

Sunday's overall rain chance eased in the same update, from 67 percent at midday to 57 percent, with the day's high at 79.4 and the low at 69.7. The showers are the start of a wet stretch rather than the end of one: Monday carries a high of 77.1, a low of 68.3 and rain chances of 54 percent, and Tuesday warms to 83.4 with rain chances of 51 percent.

Wednesday stays warm at 84.9 with rain chances of 42 percent, and then the feed dries the week out - 8 percent Thursday, 2 percent Friday and 1 percent Saturday, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s. Election Day itself is Tuesday, so voters heading to precinct polls should keep rain gear handy.
