Tampa Weekend Traffic: Overnight Closures Ahead on I-275 and I-4
FDOT lists a full southbound I-275 closure Sunday night at the downtown interchange, plus overnight ramp closures tying I-4 to I-75 and I-275 in the nights ahead.

Drivers crossing downtown Tampa late Sunday will need the detour. The Florida Department of Transportation lists all southbound I-275 lanes closing from Floribraska Avenue to the I-4 interchange from 10 p.m. Sunday, November 1, to 5 a.m. Monday, November 2, weather permitting, for the Downtown Tampa Interchange safety and operational improvements project.
FDOT's published detour sends southbound motorists off at Floribraska Avenue (Exit 46A), right onto Floribraska Avenue and left onto Tampa Street to re-enter southbound I-275; drivers bound for eastbound I-4 follow Tampa Street, turn left onto Scott Street and re-enter by the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp, according to FDOT.
Two more overnight ramp closures are on FDOT's list for the nights ahead. The eastbound I-4 ramps to I-75 at Exit 9 close nightly Tuesday, November 3 through Thursday, November 5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., with a detour by Exit 10 and Mango Road; and the westbound I-4 ramp to northbound I-275 closes from 10 p.m. Monday, November 2, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, with a downtown detour FDOT publishes on its Tampa Bay closures page.
