DeSantis Appoints Three and Reappoints Four to Florida's Board of Medicine, Governor's Office Says
Dr. Andrea Aguilera, Dr. Lisa Kay Mao and Elyse Young join the board that licenses and disciplines Florida physicians, while four sitting members are reappointed - all seven subject to Florida Senate confirmation.

Governor Ron DeSantis has named seven members to the Florida Board of Medicine, the Governor's Office announced in its October 30 appointments release. Appointed to the board are Dr. Andrea Aguilera, Dr. Lisa Kay Mao and Elyse Young.
Reappointed are Dr. Scot Ackerman, Dr. Gobi Balaji, Dr. Mathew Benson and Dr. Hector Vila. All seven appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate, per the Governor's Office.
The Board of Medicine is the state body that licenses physicians in Florida and handles discipline for the profession - the panel whose decisions shape who practices medicine in Tampa Bay's hospitals and clinics as surely as in the rest of the state. The appointments were part of the Governor's October 30 batch, which also carried boards for aviation, education and health care districts; Tampa Watch News filed the Board of Pharmacy appointments from the same week's releases on Saturday.
