Hillsborough's Monday Gap: No Voting Tomorrow, Precinct-Only Ballots Tuesday, and Until Thursday at 5 to Cure a Signature Problem
Early voting ends at 7 tonight and does not reopen Monday. Tuesday's Election Day polls run 7 to 7 at assigned precincts only, mail ballots must be in an elections office's hands by 7 p.m. Tuesday - and a mail ballot flagged for a signature problem can still be cured until 5 p.m. Thursday.

There is no in-person voting in Hillsborough County on Monday. Early voting, which has run daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. since October 19 at 27 sites, ends at 7 p.m. tonight, Sunday, November 1, according to the Supervisor of Elections - and the next chance to vote in person is Election Day itself, Tuesday, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Election Day works differently from early voting in one way that trips voters up every cycle: on Tuesday you must vote at the polling place assigned to your precinct, not at any site in the county, the Supervisor's office says. A mail ballot still at home cannot be turned in at a precinct polling place at all - it must be in one of the Supervisor of Elections offices by 7 p.m. Tuesday to count, though a voter holding one can instead choose to vote in person at their precinct. HART is offering free rides on Election Day.
One deadline runs past Tuesday: a voter whose mail ballot is flagged for a missing or mismatched signature has until 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, to fix - cure - the problem, according to the county voting guide published by The Tampa Journal. Voters can check their precinct and their ballot status at VoteHillsborough.gov before Tuesday morning.
