Early Voting in Hillsborough Ends at 7 Tonight: Election Day Is Tuesday, Polls Run 7 to 7 and HART Rides Free
Hillsborough voters have until 7 p.m. Sunday to use any of the county's 27 early voting sites; on Tuesday the rules change - polls run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at assigned precincts only, and HART is offering free rides to get there.

Early voting for the November 3 general election ends at 7 p.m. Sunday in Hillsborough County. Through tonight, registered voters can still use any of the county's 27 early voting sites, open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and can return a completed mail ballot to a Secure Ballot Intake Station inside any of them, according to the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. More than 300,000 Hillsborough ballots had already been cast by October 30, the Supervisor's office reported, with the state's elections file putting the county at 299,923 ballots through that date.
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, the any-site rule ends. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters must vote at the polling place assigned to their precinct - findable at VoteHillsborough.gov/MyPrecinct, the elections office says. A mail ballot still in hand must be in the Supervisor of Elections' hands by 7 p.m. Tuesday; it cannot be surrendered at a precinct polling place on Election Day itself and count the same way.
Getting there is free on Tuesday. HART is offering free rides on Election Day, November 3, under its 'Roll to the Polls' program, and its voting page offers trip planners built around the county's polling places. HART's published 2026 page states the free Election Day offer without an ID or fare-proof requirement.
