Skyway Toll Plaza Lanes Close Monday Through Thursday Nights, and the I-275 Exit 25 Ramp Stays Shut in St. Petersburg, FDOT Says (Tampa Watch News)

Drivers crossing the Sunshine Skyway southbound this week will meet repaving work at the toll plaza. The Florida Department of Transportation lists lane closures at the southbound I-275 Skyway Toll Plaza from Monday, November 2 through Thursday, November 5, nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., for the I-275 repaving project at the plaza.

Farther north in St. Petersburg, the southbound I-275 Exit 25 ramp to 38th Avenue North remains closed. FDOT closed the ramp on October 5 for widening, drainage and lighting work, for approximately two months, with reopening estimated in mid-December, weather permitting. FDOT's published detour sends drivers south past Exit 25 to 22nd Avenue North (Exit 24), west on 22nd Avenue North, then north on US 19 (34th Street North) to 38th Avenue North.

The same widening project - I-275 from 38th Avenue North to 4th Street North - keeps the right lane of 62nd Avenue North closed in each direction around the clock where it passes under the I-275 overpass, through approximately December 2026, FDOT says.
