Southbound I-275 Closes Overnight Sunday From Floribraska Avenue to the I-4 Interchange
FDOT will fully close southbound I-275 from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday to remove equipment at the downtown interchange, detouring drivers via Floribraska Avenue and Tampa Street. Lane closures also run Sunday night on I-4 and I-75.

Southbound I-275 will close completely overnight Sunday between Floribraska Avenue and the I-4 interchange in downtown Tampa, the Florida Department of Transportation says. The closure runs from 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, weather permitting, so crews can remove equipment as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange safety and operational improvements project.
The signed detour sends southbound drivers off at Exit 46A, Floribraska Avenue, then right on Floribraska and left on Tampa Street to re-enter southbound I-275. Drivers bound for eastbound I-4 follow Tampa Street and turn left on Scott Street to reach the eastbound I-4 ramp. A separate lane closure also runs on I-275 at the SR 60 / SR 589 interchange (Exit 39) in Westshore from 9 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday. FDOT lists no closure on the Howard Frankland Bridge itself for Sunday night.
The rest of the Sunday-night slate: I-4 lane closures from 15th Street to 26th Street and on westbound I-4 from the Tampa Bypass Canal to west of I-75 begin Sunday night and run through Thursday; I-75 lane closures from Harney Road to the Tampa Bypass Canal run Sunday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. into December. FDOT lists no new closures starting Saturday night, and the Sunshine Skyway toll plaza and Gandy Bridge eastbound lane closures begin Monday night.
