The north side of the Tampa Bay road network gets its own week of night work starting Sunday. The Florida Department of Transportation lists lane closures on SR 56 from about one mile east of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard to Meadow Pointe Boulevard from Sunday, November 1, through Thursday, November 5, on nights from 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for the corridor's resurfacing project.

The intersection itself is part of the job in both directions. FDOT lists the SR 56 eastbound right turn lane approaching Bruce B. Downs Boulevard as closed on the same Sunday-through-Thursday nights — turns remain available from the right through lane — and the right lane of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, County Road 581, closed approaching and through the SR 56 intersection on those nights at the same hours.

Daytime drivers are not clear of it either: the SR 56 westbound right turn lane onto northbound Bruce B. Downs Boulevard is closed from Monday, November 2, through Friday, November 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with turns again available from the through lane, according to FDOT. Schedules are weather-dependent; drivers in the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel corridor should allow extra time on those nights.
