Tampa at 71.2 Overnight, and Monday's Heavy Rain Still Stands at 65 Percent on the Live Feed

Tampa at 71.2 Overnight, and Monday's Heavy Rain Still Stands at 65 Percent on the Live Feed (Tampa Watch News)

Tampa is spending the small hours of Monday in a pause between rains. The station's live weather feed put the temperature at 71.2 degrees overnight, feeling like 75.3, under an overcast sky - a degree warmer than late Sunday night, when the city sat in the rain at 70.2.

The pause does not last. Monday remains the week's wettest day on the current feed: a high of just 75.8, a low of 69.4 and a heavy-rain code, with rain chances of 65 percent - the same call this desk reported late Sunday. Monday commuters and anyone with outdoor work should plan on a soaked day, and Election Day on Tuesday stays gentler behind it: drizzle, a high of 79 and rain chances of 61 percent.

The pattern still breaks midweek. Wednesday jumps to 86.6 at 43 percent, Thursday holds 86.3 at 15 percent, Friday eases to 83.1 under a mainly clear code, and Saturday turns clear and cooler - a high of 79.6 and a low of 62.3, the coolest night of the week, with Sunday much the same at 77.5.
