Second Arrest in the Ybor City Shooting: Police Say the Identified Shooter Turned Himself In as a Second Suspect Faces an Attempted-Murder Warrant (Tampa Watch News)

Tampa Police have arrested a second suspect in the Ybor City shooting that killed three people and wounded 14 early Saturday, and the man police identify as the shooter is also in custody after turning himself in on Saturday evening, according to FOX 13 Tampa Bay's reporting of the department's updates. Kelvin Brown Jr., identified by police as the shooter, faces second-degree murder charges, FOX 13 reported.

A second suspect, Khajah Robinson, was arrested on a warrant that included attempted murder and felon-in-possession charges, WFLA reported from the Tampa Police Department's account. The arrests follow the department's first report Saturday, carried in this station's original file, that one person was in custody as detectives worked the scene in the 1800 block of East 7th Avenue, where the shooting broke out at about 1:30 a.m. on October 31 amid Halloween-weekend crowds.

Police have not officially released the names of the three people killed, and Tampa Watch News is not publishing names until the department does. The investigation remains active; anyone with information is asked to contact Tampa Police. This story will be updated as the department confirms further details.
