Westbound I-4 Ramp to Northbound I-275 Closes Monday Night, and US 301 Work Starts Sunday Night in Brandon (Tampa Watch News)

The Florida Department of Transportation will close the westbound I-4 ramp to northbound I-275 overnight on Monday, November 2, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, weather permitting. The closure supports maintenance work for the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project.

The signed detour keeps drivers on westbound I-4 to Exit 45A (Downtown East/West), keeping left at the fork toward Downtown East, then south on Jefferson Street, left onto Harrison Street and left onto Orange Avenue, where drivers re-enter the interstate using the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.

On the east side of the county, FDOT District 7 lists lane closures on US 301 from Causeway Boulevard to the south I-75 interchange from Sunday, November 1 through Thursday, November 5, on nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work is part of the US 301 repaving project from Bloomingdale Avenue to SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) in the Brandon area.

All of the listed schedules are weather-dependent and can change. Drivers heading through the downtown interchange late Monday or along US 301 on weeknights should allow extra time and follow the posted detour and work-zone signage.
