SR 60 Westbound Lanes Close Monday Through Thursday Nights From Bay Harbor Drive to Bayport Drive, FDOT Says
The Courtney Campbell Causeway corridor's repaving project takes a westbound lane on four straight nights, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. — and in the Westshore area, Cypress Street's westbound diversion now runs around the clock through November 13.
Drivers crossing Tampa Bay on the Courtney Campbell Causeway after dark this week will meet lane closures on SR 60. The Florida Department of Transportation lists westbound lane closures on SR 60 from Bay Harbor Drive to Bayport Drive from Monday, November 2 through Thursday, November 5, on nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The closures belong to the department's SR 60 repaving project, which runs from Ben T. Davis Beach to Bayport Drive. The work is scheduled on nights only, and FDOT's closure lists are weather-dependent and can change; drivers crossing between Tampa and Clearwater late at night should allow extra time.
The same FDOT list carries a longer-running Westshore item: Cypress Street, from West Frontage Road to East Frontage Road, is under a continuous westbound diversion and traffic switch, 24 hours a day through November 13, as part of the Tampa Westshore Interchange improvements at I-275 and SR 60.
