Tampa Cools to 66 in Monday Morning Rain, and Election Day's Rain Chance Falls to 26 Percent on the Live Feed
The rain is still Tampa's Monday story - 66 degrees, feeling like 60.7, with the day's heavy-rain code at 83 percent - but the station's live feed has quietly rewritten Tuesday: Election Day now reads drizzle at just 26 percent, half the call of two hours ago.

Tampa has cooled into its wet Monday. The station's live weather feed put the city at 66 degrees in the rain this morning, feeling like 60.7 - the coolest reading of the day so far and more than three degrees below the early-morning file, as the rain band that has been over the bay since before dawn does its work.
Monday itself has not changed its mind: a heavy-rain code (65) for the day, rain chances of 83 percent, a high of just 77.2 and a low of 66. The morning and midday drives run through the wettest of it, and anyone working outside should plan on a soaked Monday from start to finish.
The change is behind it. Election Day on Tuesday now carries a drizzle code at 26 percent - down from 54 percent on this desk's early-morning file and 61 percent overnight - with a high of 79.8. Voters heading to the polls Tuesday are now looking at a mostly workable day rather than a wet one. The warm-up then resumes: Wednesday 86 at 40 percent, Thursday 86.9 at 12 percent, and Friday mainly overcast and dry at 84.2, before a clearer, cooler weekend (Saturday 81.9, Sunday 79.4).
