Gandy Bridge Eastbound Lanes Close Monday Through Friday Nights, and the Suncoast's SR 52 Ramp Narrows in the Daytime, FDOT Says

FDOT's week starts Monday on two of Tampa Bay's crossings: eastbound lane closures on the Gandy Bridge every night this week, and a daytime turn-lane closure where the Suncoast Parkway meets SR 52 in Pasco County.

Gandy Bridge Eastbound Lanes Close Monday Through Friday Nights, and the Suncoast's SR 52 Ramp Narrows in the Daytime, FDOT Says (Tampa Watch News)

The Gandy Bridge takes the first of five straight nights of work on Monday. The Florida Department of Transportation lists eastbound lane closures on US 92 at the Gandy Bridge, between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, from Monday, November 2 through Friday, November 6, nights from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., for the Gandy Boulevard ITS improvements project running from the bridge to Dale Mabry Highway. Evening and overnight drivers crossing from St. Petersburg into Tampa should expect a narrowed bridge all week.

In Pasco County, the work is a daytime job: part or all of the right turn lane on the Suncoast Parkway's southbound exit ramp to SR 52 will be closed from Monday, November 2 through Saturday, November 7, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., while crews build the SR 52 pedestrian overpass for the Suncoast Trail, FDOT says. Turns will remain available, but the ramp will be tighter than usual through the work week.

Farther east in the district, FDOT also lists periodic lane closures and flagging operations on US 98 between W Socrum Loop Road and CR 54 from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. As with all of this week's listed work, the schedules are weather-dependent and can change.
