Tampa at 71.2 Overnight, and Election Day's Feed Code Is Showers Again at a High of 81.6 (Tampa Watch News)

Tampa goes into Election Day at 71.2 degrees, feeling like 75.7 under a mostly cloudy sky, at the end of a Monday that topped out at 75.2 with an 83 percent precipitation reading on the station's live Open-Meteo feed.

Tuesday's forecast changed one more time in the overnight feed. After a day of swings - mostly cloudy at midday, light rain in the evening files - the overnight feed codes Election Day 81, rain showers, with a high of 81.6, a low of 70.7 and the precipitation chance at 33 percent. For Hillsborough voters heading to their assigned precincts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., that is a warm day with passing showers possible: worth a jacket in the line, not a reason to skip the line.

Behind the vote, Wednesday holds at 81.2 under a light-rain code with the week's best remaining rain chance at 56 percent, before Thursday rebounds to 87.2 and mostly cloudy. The weekend settles into the low-to-mid 80s with rain chances in the single digits, and the feed's first real cool-down arrives next Monday: a high of just 72.5 and a low of 57.9.
