Tampa at 72.4 Tonight, and Election Day Turns Mostly Cloudy at 81.7 in the Night Feed
Monday's rain is done over Tampa, and the station's live feed has taken the light-rain code back off Election Day: Tuesday now reads mostly cloudy, 81.7 degrees, with the rain chance at 31 percent.

Tampa ends Election Eve at 72.4 degrees, feeling like 76.9 under a mostly cloudy sky, at the close of a Monday that topped out at 75.2 with an 83 percent precipitation reading and a heavy-rain code on the station's live Open-Meteo feed.
Election Day itself looks better tonight than it did at 5 p.m. The evening feed had coded Tuesday for light rain; the night feed restores code 3 - mostly cloudy - with a high of 81.7, a low of 71.9 and the precipitation chance at 31 percent. That is a workable forecast for a day when Hillsborough's 232 polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: warm, grey at times, and no washout in the numbers.
The warmth builds behind the vote. Wednesday carries a light-drizzle code at 86.6 with a 35 percent chance, Thursday reaches 87.2 mostly cloudy at 20 percent, and the weekend settles into the low-to-mid 80s - 86.0 Friday, 83.5 Saturday and 80.2 Sunday, with rain chances in the single digits to low teens.
