Hillsborough Avenue Narrows at 15th Street Tonight Through Thursday, 9 P.M. to 6 A.M., FDOT Says
The intersection-improvement work on U.S. 92 at North 15th Street brings lane closures four straight nights this week, Monday through Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Night drivers on Hillsborough Avenue get a new pinch point starting Monday night. The Florida Department of Transportation lists lane closures on U.S. 92 (Hillsborough Avenue) at North 15th Street from Monday, November 2 through Thursday, November 5, nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., for the department's intersection-improvements project at 15th Street.
The work is a lane reduction at one intersection, not a closure of the avenue - traffic keeps moving through the work zone on the open lanes - but 15th Street is a working north-south crossing in East Tampa, and the overnight windows run straight through the late-evening drive on Election Eve and the three nights after it.
This segment is separate from the Hillsborough Avenue repaving between 39th and 42nd Streets that this station has been tracking on the same corridor. Both projects clear each morning by 6 a.m., ahead of the day's drive - and ahead of Tuesday's 7 a.m. poll opening for voters crossing the avenue to their precincts.
