SR 60 Loses an Eastbound Lane Tonight From Buckingham Place to Lithia Pinecrest Road, FDOT Says
Brandon's main east-west road narrows overnight Monday: FDOT closes an eastbound lane of State Road 60 from Buckingham Place to Lithia Pinecrest Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for repaving.

Drivers crossing Brandon late Monday night should budget extra minutes on State Road 60. The Florida Department of Transportation lists an eastbound lane closure on SR 60 from Buckingham Place to Lithia Pinecrest Road from 8 p.m. Monday, November 2 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, part of the department's repaving project on that stretch.
The closure is a lane reduction, not a full shutdown - eastbound traffic keeps moving on the remaining lanes - but SR 60 carries the Brandon area's heaviest surface-street load, and an overnight lane loss on Election Eve will back up at the signals it feeds. Westbound lanes are not listed in this closure.
The SR 60 work joins a busy FDOT night across Hillsborough County, including the full southbound I-275 closure downtown and lane work at the Southbound Skyway Toll Plaza, both already reported by this station. All of the listed closures are scheduled to clear before Tuesday's morning drive and the 7 a.m. opening of the polls.
