Southbound I-275 Closes Completely Tonight From Floribraska Avenue to the I-4 Interchange, 10 P.M. to 5 A.M.
Downtown Tampa loses southbound I-275 entirely overnight Monday: FDOT closes the interstate from Floribraska Avenue to the I-4 interchange at 10 p.m., and every southbound driver exits at Floribraska until 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Plan around downtown Tampa late Monday night. The Florida Department of Transportation says southbound I-275 will close completely from Floribraska Avenue to the I-4 interchange from 10 p.m. Monday, November 2 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, weather permitting, so crews can remove equipment from the work zone for the Downtown Tampa Interchange safety and operational improvements project.
FDOT's detour is simple and total: all motorists traveling southbound must leave the interstate at Floribraska Avenue, Exit 46A. The closure pairs with the separate westbound I-4 ramp closure to northbound I-275 the same night, which this station has already published - together they mean the interchange's overnight moves are heavily restricted in both directions.
The rest of the week stays busy on I-275. FDOT lists southbound lane closures between 54th Avenue N and 38th Avenue N on Monday and Wednesday nights from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m., and northbound lane closures on the Howard Frankland Bridge express lanes Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The southbound Exit 25 ramp to 38th Avenue N remains closed for an extended period, as it has been since October 5.
